who pays for your coffee?
Starbucks gave away free coffee on last Friday. I didn’t get that free cup of coffee as my office is no way close to any Starbucks (poor me!). However it makes me think of this book that I am reading - "The Undercover Economist".
Tim Harford gives you an economic view on why coffee kiosks charge you so high for a cup of coffee - as everybody knows the coffee bean is CHEAP. And why the syrup charges that few bucks’ more as the additional value has not as high as that.
Its like putting a text book in a real life context (in London to be exact). If you happened to be, once a econ student, you would find it interesting to read. Check it out.
