almost regret
Every year, when the SCB Marathon was over, I thought I would be enrolling in the following year. Indeed it never happened. I was worrying that I would fell down just before the finishing point.
Have you experienced this. When you feel like almost closing a sales deal, it dies out unnoticed. You worked very hard on it, you have done almost everything right, you thought you will sure win. And the deal gone elsewhere without a reason, or without an obvious reason.
It sometimes like baking a cake. A little bit too much or too little would just ruin the whole thing. You won’t have 90% achievement even if you have made 90% of the procedure right. You have to throw the whole thing away.
When you have tried so hard to work on something, you feel you are almost there. You might feel regret if you don’t wait until reaching the finishing point. Turn to another side of the coin, you may feel more regret if you spend too much effort on a deal which doesn’t worth to.
If it never works, it won’t work. C’est la vie.

1. SCB is really challenge. Support you to try only when you are ready.
2. I always have the experience to work on something very hard and it turns out to be nothing (from other’s PoV). But I seldom feel sad about it…cos I generally make the process interesting and enjoyable for myself in the first place.
3. I also agree that if you don’t feel it is going to work in the first place, it won’t work at the end. Somehow, I think this is because you have shut the door and believe it is not going to work based on your limited knowledge or information, If you let others to help, the result maybe different. Sometimes, this requires time and a bit of luck!
Cheers

Chiu~~ Many of our boss always provide free advice to the customer even they know they do not have budget as they believe the customer will find them someday!
And one boss is even so “Din” that he asked us to redo a final report even the customer always said they are happy with the report. 吹唔吹漲? 明唔明白呢?
