illness
Wednesday, October 4th, 2006I have told myself: I can’t get sick as long as I don’t have any medical coverage. Really, since the day I left my employer, I haven’t gotten myself into any trouble. That must be: the poorer, the stronger the will power. Or it might be "得閒死唔得閒病".
While everybody was planning for their National Day long weekend, I was so busy during the weekend. On the public holiday Monday, my friend asked me to go to Wong Tai Sin. Perhaps it was the smokey environmnet (有點嗆鼻, thanks Ms. To for teaching me this vocab) plus the air-con in the restaurant and in the bus thereafter… I felt like sinking after that visit.
My head was like blowing and my throat was like on fire. Pain was all around my arms and my neck. I thought I must have got a flu or something. I couldn’t swallow anything but drinking great amount of water (and coca cola.. it heals!!). So thirsty. and so sleepy.
From my experience, that would followed by a few symptoms and it would take a few days to recover.
Fortunately I could have flexible day-off. I tried to sleep as much as I could. Again, the poorer I am, the stronger my will power. I was like fully recovered the next day. Hahah… world record ar.
The point which I wanted to make is, if you see me sneezing or coughing, I am in the progress of recovering. The real pain is when you haven’t seen any symptoms…
