for one more day - Mitch Albom
One day I was wandering in Page One, looking for some party books preparing for a kid’s birthday party. I found this book. This is the third book of Mitch Albom, the author of "the five people you meet in heaven" and "tuesdays with morrie". If you haven’t read those, I strongly recommend you to take a look at them.
This is the hard cover. I was hesitate because the week before I have thrown away so many books…. and you know hard cover costs a double as to a paper back… I took it and put it down. After a few attempts, I finally took it to the cashier. ~_~
This is a "ghost story" as the author said. About a man meeting her dead mother when he was trying to end his own life. As usual, it tells lots of stories going on in the man’s life. About the loves and hates, towards his mother and his father. Again this is a touching story.
They said, if you are about to die, you will meet the people from the old days. He is not only meeting his mother, but found out a lot of facts which he didn’t know.
Only thing is, the story set up in a softball field, which I have no idea what it is about. (this is the second time I fell in such "trap". Last time was the "Bleacher" by John Grisham) Other than that, Mitch Albom tells the story in a way which you can think a lot of meanings in life. Good story teller indeed.
Besides this, I also bought "The Time Traveller’s Wife" and "The Firm".
