answer to the logic question

Wednesday, February 15th, 2006

The answer is 1st Sept.  Before asking why is it, let’s try to think think… a lot of my friends (including myself of course) found it is difficult to understand the rationale, even after we read the answer.  Let me give you a hint: the first step is to eliminate all dates in June and Dec…

We thoguht logic was a simple tricks, and we all thought we were logical persons after years of education.  I always think - how great it would be if I could have a clearer and more organized mind.  In most cases, we could solve a problem in our daily life was because we have experience in it, but not because we have a clear mind.

I think a lot of people do like this: go to office in the morning, log on the computer and see what pops in.  Do whatever is urgent first and do other things as it comes up (such as an email or a phone call).  And finally you are doing pieces by pieces -like doing a lot of things but cannot tell what have been accomplished.

Think about this: if you step backwards a bit, look at all the "urgent" and outstanding issues, spend 5 minutes to think and organize them… it could be one simple and little task after all.  And you can spend 15 minutes to complete it instead of spending the whole morning.

But of course, sometimes we purposely make things complicated and spend long time to complate the task and make us look like very busy.  We make the things so complicated that we hope other people don’t understand and won’t challenge what we do. (=^_^=)

Well, you may not understand what I mean.  I hope I could be more organized and express myself clearer.

Let’s go back to the question itself.  If you still don’t get the answer (and if you still want to know why), send me a mail and I will try my best to explain (trust me, explaining is as difficult as understanding).

logic question

We have spent a long time understanding this question.  No one could answer the question right away.  And… after we read the answer, we spent even longer in understanding the answer.

Paper01_large

You don’t need to be a McMug or McDull fans to like this movie.

I watched it with a few friends during the CNY holiday unfortunately most of my "adult friends" don’t like it much.  They think the gags are not that funny and after all they think it is like pieces and pieces and didn’t get where is the "story line".  I see it differently.  I think it is like the magnifier of our lives.

It reminds me of an old movie - "The Meaning of Life".  A friend gave me this DVD as a Christmas gift (thank you! ^_^v).  They both showed lives in a dramatic way (of course different style).

* the graduates - tried hard to finish a degree and tried hard to find a job which is relevant to the thing they learned;

* the chef - worked for a long time and forgot his dream;

* the captain - tried hard to be a responsible caption…;

* the OLs - work hard for lunches (and handbags, haha!);

* the fat guy - like everybody in a big city, never say enough, never satisfy with what we have; like a big corp, absorbs until it spills…

Of course, the movie maker might not think this way when they made this… but I think life is all like a big joke.  C’est la vie.
