I met a friend earlier, whom I have known for 10 years.
He told me something that surprised me. He told me that he dreamt of being a painter when he was young. He did try going for his dream. He liked drawing and he learned all sort of arts. His first job was actually an illustrator. He quitted after few months, when he realized that he couldn’t put his hobby into his job.
What surprised me was, across all these years, I never heard of him talking about any sort of arts. Even though his present job requires some sort of artistic skills.
There is another friend, who was struggling whether he likes his job or not.
Well, why bother? A job is a job. You like it does not mean you can do it well. What you need is a job which you can do well. (of course you can’t hate it) If you are looking for a hobby, just take some courses at SPACE after work.
Did I have a dream? Sadly no. But for a long period of time, I was thinking of being a social worker (and later on a psychologist). Can’t believe it, huh?
Perfect weather, but bad luck.
Yesterday - I parked my car in Silverstrand Mart and went shopping at Park n Shop. After an hour, when I went back to my car, I found that the side mirror was broken!
It should be the car parked next to mine, but I had no evidence. Hit and run!! But Police obviously does not want to handle such kind of unimportant cases.
(In the name of the father, of the son, and of the holy spirit, may our Lord break his side mirror too… amen…)
Today - a contractor came and replace the wash hand basin, which has been broken for quite a while. Therefore I needed to stay at home for the whole afternoon watching the guy repairing it — and clean up the mess after he left.
Worst thing afterall - Allez’s latest adventure. He snaked into my neighbour’s home. While I was looking for him, my neighbour came out holding Allez, telling me that he was fighting with my neighbour’s 2 cats in her home!
How could he do that!!! Doesn’t he notice that he is a very poor fighter!?
I think the last thing I need to fix is myself.
First time been there.
Heard about Hei Hei - and just learnt that Sugar is another popular one.
I am not a clubbing person and in fact haven’t been to this kind of places for a long time. Quite curious what makes these places so popular (may clubbers please tell me…). Thought of a few factors:
- some people like the music - think that the DJ is good and famous.
- some people like dancing - not sure if the dance floor is good?
- some people like to see and being seen - the waiters are good, the guests… um.. I mean, they have a dress code. A friend of mine was almost rejected because his jeans were torne. Another friend was warned becuase she wore sandals. Lots of ABCs - and lots of ma-luck-lo who want to meet pretty ladies. Yet you can’t just walk in. You got to be (or to be with) a member and you need reservation… the guests are supposed to be high-quality.
- some people like the decoration - a few TVs on the wall. Besides… it was too dark too see.
- some people like it coz it’s expensive!
Perhaps I would still prefer a quiet cozy wine bar.
I can see it in your eyes/The shadow of Vltava’s moonlight/When the bluebirds cry/Like a lullaby/I am not there by your side
If you see it in my dreams/Where I can show you all my heart/Sitting on the bridge/I would hold your hand/With the words that I should have said
Whenever you feel/You’re losing your heart/I’ll be there right by your side/To know your feelings/To share your sorrows/If only you could let me be
I’ve been dreaming of you/The day I met you/Without you in my life/No rhythm is irght/Even though I’ll survive/It’s hurting inside/Until again I see your smile
